Shockwave Supernova was the second solo album M+P designed for Joe. The music was out-of-this-world powerful, and inspired us to create a multi-layered packaging experience. This turned out to be one of the most complex album packages we've designed. The calculations of the die cuts from the front cover through to the interior panels required exact precision and countless production samples. The cover has Joe's name die cut, while the insides spell out Shockwave Supernova in an expanding fashion.  The entire surface of the digipack was coated in a luxe laminate film called Karess – velvety soft to the touch. We've shared some of the "deconstructed" images of the packaging just before it's glued together – enjoy!
